A Telegram bot that removes the vocals from a song

Send a song to @hotmusiclab_bot and two files come back in the chat: the backing track without the voice, and the a cappella. Nothing to install, and it is free.

What the bot does

Takes the song you already have

An MP3, M4A or WAV file, a voice message or a video with sound. Forward it from any chat or channel; there is no need to save it to your phone first.

Sends back two files

The instrumental, which is the song without the voice, and the a cappella, the voice on its own. Both arrive as MP3s you can play, save or forward straight from the chat.

Lives in Telegram

It works in the Telegram you already have, on a phone or a computer. Pressing Start is the whole sign-up: no email, no password, no app.

How to use it

1

Open the bot

Tap the button on this page, then Start in Telegram. The first time, the bot asks whether to answer in English or Russian.

2

Send a song

Send or forward the file. The bot replies that it is on it and roughly how long it will take.

3

Get the two files

The instrumental and the a cappella arrive in the chat in about one and a half times the song's length. You can close Telegram while you wait.

Limits

  • Files up to 20 MB: that is as much as Telegram lets a bot download. An MP3 of a whole song fits easily.
  • Songs up to 6 minutes long.
  • Up to 40 songs an hour per account, one at a time: send the next one once the previous one has arrived.
  • Free, with no watermark and no paid tier.

When the site is the better choice

The bot does one thing: the voice out, and the voice alone. The site does more with the same song, takes files up to 60 MB, and needs no Telegram:

Your files

The song is processed on our own server and sent back only to the chat it came from. It is deleted from the server as soon as the two files are on their way to you, or if splitting fails. The copies in your chat are kept by Telegram like any other message. The details are in the Privacy policy.

Questions

Is the bot free?

Yes. No paid tier, no subscription, no watermark. Each account can split up to 40 songs an hour, one at a time; the cap is there so one person cannot fill the queue.

Which files can I send?

MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC and other audio files, voice messages and videos with sound, up to 20 MB and 6 minutes. A song can be forwarded straight from another chat or channel.

How long does it take?

About one and a half times the song's length: a four-minute track takes about six minutes. If others are ahead of you, the bot says how long the wait is and sends the files as soon as they are ready.

How good is the backing track?

It is the same separation the site's vocal remover uses. The instrumental is the song minus the voice, so the rest of the mix stays as it was; on a dense mix or a voice drenched in reverb, a faint trace of it can remain.

What happens to my song?

It is processed on our own server, never passed to another company, and deleted as soon as the two files have been sent back to your chat. Pressing Start gives us only your Telegram ID and display name, which together are your account.
