Autotune online

Record or upload a voice and every note is snapped to the song's key. The slider goes from a natural touch-up to the robotic effect; compare before and after, then save a WAV. It all runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Record yourself singing or upload a vocal take without music. Headphones help while recording, so the backing track does not get into the microphone.
  2. The page detects the pitch every 10 milliseconds and works out the key from the notes you sang. Pick another key or Chromatic if the guess is off.
  3. Set the strength: low values pull long notes in gently and keep vibrato and slides; 100 % snaps every note instantly, the classic robotic effect. Switch Before and Tuned while it plays, then download.

Questions

Is my voice uploaded anywhere?

No. The recording or file is decoded, analysed and pitch-shifted inside your browser tab, and the WAV is written from its memory. Nothing reaches our server, which is also why there is no queue and no hourly limit.

What does the strength slider do?

It sets the retune speed, how fast a note is pulled to the nearest note of the scale. At 0 % that takes about half a second, so held notes are corrected while vibrato, slides and expression stay. At 100 % the pitch jumps to the note at once, which gives the hard, robotic sound heard in pop and rap.

What if the key it found is wrong?

Pick the key and scale yourself. A short phrase often fits a major key and its relative minor equally well (C major and A minor, say); both use the same seven notes, so the result is identical. Chromatic snaps to the nearest semitone whatever the key.

Can I tune the vocals in a finished song?

Not directly: the detector needs one voice on its own, and music underneath confuses it. Extract the a cappella with the vocal remover first, tune that here, and mix it back over the instrumental.

What do I get when I download?

A 16-bit mono WAV at the recording's sample rate, as long as the take (up to one minute). Trying the effect and comparing is free and needs no account; saving the file asks for a free sign-in.
